This piece is made entirely of recycled clay. It's been reconstituted and mixed with handful's of red Taos clay from our friend Jeff's brickyard out there. You can see the streaks of red and sparkley clay running through the white tiles.
The white glaze is my own recipe, I call it Orion's Matte and Shiney. Orion is the little boy who lives behind me. He's awesome.
The black glaze is all the leftover's of Mamie's she left here a hundred years ago - dumped into one bucket - and mixed with cobalt, manganese, iron, and chrome oxides.
